It's been a year

It's been a year since we began our food truck adventure and baby, we've come a long way.  From this:

To this:

I'm pretty sure we are the best food truck in Port Angeles. I guess I should mention that we are the ONLY food truck in Port Angeles. Each week we serve a couple of different food items along with our usual gourmet sodas and candied nuts. It's not always easy, but we make it work. Our cooking equipment is limited to a waffle iron, a panini grill, some soup/food warmers and a commercial hot plate so we really have to think outside the box, which I love...and hate. It challenges me constantly and keeps my brain active.
As summer approaches, business picks up, and more and more people become aware that we are here. Our facebook page continues to grow as new people "like" us. Facebook is the only place we advertise so it's also the only way to see ahead of time what we are serving for the week. And the people of Port Angeles have been so supportive. We quite often get people that stop by just to tell us how awesome they think it is that we started a food truck here. We look forward to seeing our regular customers as they come by our different locations each week. They are so kind and friendly. Of course, it's hard to know all of their names and we end up giving them nicknames, such as "Cool Beans". That's her name now because she said it several times in our very first conversation. She comes by with her husband most of the time, Mr. Cool Beans. He is quiet and looks at her with such admiration. She is a force of her own, vibrant and full of life. They rave about how wonderful our food is but most of all they come for the soup. They say I have a gift for the soup. And I do make darn good soup if I do say so myself. Another regular couple that come by love to buy goodies from Pane d'Amore bakery's booth at the Port Angeles Farmers Market and then give them to us. We just don't have the heart to tell "Goodie Man" that we're on a diet so we pass the goodies along to my husband and he loves them.
I've always had a gypsy spirit, loving to move and change but I married a man with concrete feet so I find this new business very fulfilling. Constant change, whether it be location or food or customers, is quite fun for me. If you find yourself in Port Angeles and you're feeling hungry be sure and stop by the purple bus and see whats cooking. Of course, you'll have to "like" us on facebook to see where we are.
